Tinubu, wife of. the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress,
APC, Bola Tinubu, has said the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Frderal
Government has failed to fulfil its promise to women during the 2015
general election.
The Senator, who is representing Lagos
Central while making her contribution to the debate on the 2016 budget
on the floor of the senate on Tuesday, expressed dismay with the APC
government, which promised to run an all-inclusive government with the
women well represented.
She said the budget did not reflect the promise.
Reacting to the fact that the Ministry
of Women Affairs got the least allocation in the budget, Oluremi called
on the upper chamber of the national assembly to look into the issue in
order to avoid the wrath of women.
She said, “In its manifesto, the APC mentioned the need for empowerment programmes for Nigerian women.
