Olumofin brothers deny being asked to leave Toolz&Tunde's wedding yesterday

Yesterday, there were reports that the Olumofin brothers, Joro and Dokun Olumofin were turned back from Toolz and Tunde Demuren's traditional wedding by the bride and groom's parents. LIB reached out to the Olumofin brothers to find out their side of the story...and they denied they were asked to leave the wedding. Speaking exclusively with LIB, Dokun Olumofin said;

World No 1 Serena Williams Congratulate Angelique Kerber in the Australian Open final

World number one, Serena Williams today surprisingly lost the Australian Open final to Angelique Kerber after battling with the world no 6. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested one of its operatives, Abdulrahman Mohammed Biu, a Deputy Detective Superintendent for allegedly collecting $150,000 (about N45 million) from seven yet to be named military officers currently under investigation for their involvement in the $2.1 billion arms procurement fraud.

A statement issued by EFCC’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, said Abdulrahman collected the money from the indicted military officers with a promise to give them soft landing to escape probe.

The statement said:

Oluremi Tinubu, wife of. the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, has said the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Frderal Government has failed to fulfil its promise to women during the 2015 general election.

The Senator, who is representing Lagos Central while making her contribution to the debate on the 2016 budget on the floor of the senate on Tuesday, expressed dismay with the APC government, which promised to run an all-inclusive government with the women well represented.

She said the budget did not reflect the promise.

Reacting to the fact that the Ministry of Women Affairs got the least allocation in the budget, Oluremi called on the upper chamber of the national assembly to look into the issue in order to avoid the wrath of women.

The Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole has warned pregnant Nigerian women against traveling to Latin America over the recent outbreak of a strange viral disease known as Zika which is transmitted by a certain class of Mosquito. The strange disease causes babies to have abnormally small heads and growth difficulties.

The spokesperson of the Federal Ministry of Health, Boade Akinola, in a statement released today, said that there is no recorded case of the disease in Nigeria.
