Plot To Probe Atiku's Dubai Meeting: PDP Chiefs, Fani Kayode, Ben Bruce Reacts

After the All Progressives Congress (APC) asked security agencies in the country to probe the strategy meetings of the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, alleging that they have sinister agenda, PDP Chiefs, Fani Kayode and Ben Bruce have now reacted.

Ben Brice says, when President Buhari was in London, he met with almost the whole leadership of APC there and opposition party, PDP never complained or condermed it.

While FFK simply called the probe madness.

''How can @OfficialAPCNg say HE @atiku met with myself, @bukolasaraki, @PeterGregoryObi, @renoomokri and others in Dubai to plan against Nigeria? In 2018, @MBuhari spent 5 months in UK. He met with almost the whole leadership of APC there. Did @OfficialPDPNig complain or condemn?'', Ben Bruce wrote on twitter.

''The flagbearer of the opposition party travels to Dubai for a rest and to meet with other party leaders for a discussion about the way forward. The reaction of the ruling party is to call on the security agencies to probe all those that attended the meetng. Is this not madness?'', FFK also wrote separately on his twitter page.

Atiku will beat Buhari with landslide victory - Gbenga Daniel
Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to attend to the needs of Nigerians instead of donating money to other countries.

Atiku stressed that the resources of the country should be used for the benefit of its citizens not for others.
In a statement released by his media team on Sunday, November 4, 2018, Atiku urged president Buhari and his cabinet to be more prudent witg the nation's resources.

His reaction follows a recent promise made by the president to donate $500,000 to Guinea Bissau, along with other materials.
"Our response is to ask why a nation that has been officially named as the world headquarters of extreme poverty, will donate her resources to others instead of using them to solve pressing domestic problems?
"This is the same government that is so cash-strapped that it has so far borrowed N13tn in three years" he said.
The former vice president frowns at the promise the president took and urges the president to cut its coat according to its size.
He asked, "How prudent is it to go about taking loans from whosoever cares and then turn around to give out the money when your own people are suffering the worst form of poverty?
"We call on the Muhammadu Buhari administration to cut its coat according to its cloth. He should stop donating like Father Christmas. He should attend to the need of Nigerians” he added.
Atiku also stressed that there is no way he would pretend to be unconcerned with the way president Buhari is running the country having been part of the government that paid off Nigeria's foreign debts in the past.
The PDP presidential candidate will be flying the flags of the party along with for Anambra State governor, Peter Obi as his running mate in the 2019 presidential election scheduled for February 16, 2019.

Son-In-law to Governor Rochas, attacks Oshomole Over Imo governorship list

Adams Oshiomhole

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has said that the party is not in support of the misunderstanding between Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha and top leaders of the Christian community in the state.

Uche Nwosu, the son-in-law of the Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha has expressed shock over reports that the All Progressives Chairman (APC) chairman,  Adams Oshiomhole submitted the name of Senator Hope Uzodimma as the party’s governorship candidate in Imo to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

This is coming after the APC National Working Committee (NWC) reportedly agreed to field Uzodinma as the party’s governorship candidate in Imo.
According to Vanguard, the NWC took the decision at a meeting on Wednesday, October, 31, 2018.

Controversy

The APC NWC earliar cancelled the governorship primary election which was conducted on October 1, 2018 in Imo.
According to reports, the exercise supervised by the Ahmed Gulak led  Election Committee and Uzodimma was declared winner.
Speaking on the Imo primary, Oshimhole said “Imo was not too good news for today, but not surprising they have to learn to begin to comply with rules, they have two fake results, none of them is genuine.
“We will disband and we will appoint a fresh committee (electoral panel) that will conduct transparent direct primaries that reflect the will of members of APC in Imo regardless of the interest and powers that are behind any of the groups.
“The truth does not require supporters club to stand, it has its hands and legs and we will do just that”.
Some APC chieftains disagreed with the APC chairman and also vowed to boycott any new primary election in the state.

Oshimhole cannot stop me

Speaking on the latest development, Nwosu said that Oshiomhole cannot stop his governorship ambition.
The Governor’s son-in-law also said that he is APC’s authentic governorship candidate in Imo.
Nwosu vowed not to leave the ruling party or abandon the mandate given to him by the people.
He said “My mandate is still intact, I still remain the candidate of the APC, I am very much shocked with the National Chairman who is speaking from the both sides of his mouth as a man of that age I thought he would have been upright.
“I am shocked that a man who has attained that age and who we should look up to as our role model has become somebody who many of us can no longer see as a role model again.
“I am shocked at the attitude of the National Chairman which does not give hope to young people that mostly look up to him for years.
“I will not leave APC, I still remain the authentic candidate of that party, I still have a valid Court Oder restraining the party from submitting any other name and also restraining INEC from accepting any other name other than my name and the matter is in Court.
“So if they go anywhere and got another Court Order without knowing that there is a subsisting Court Order that must have been done that in error.
“So the fact remains that I am the candidate of APC, it is just for a while and I will take up my mandate, I don’t have in mind to leave the mandate I already have for another party.
“My candidacy is secured and cannot be truncated by the National Chairman or any other person,
“I will never abandon the mandate given to him by the party members to be their governorship candidate for the 2019 election.
“We are disappointed over Oshiomole’s action, his statements and antics did not give hope to young people who hitherto had always looked up to him.
“After all Oshiomole’s son is a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, who he nominated and he is the Chairman of the party and he is saying that Okorocha’s Senatorial ambition scuttled my governorship.
“He is a man that is supposed to speak rightly and not deceive the people on air. I saw him on the Television when he was talking from both sides of his mouth.
“It is a pity that APC could have such a man as its National Chairman, I condemn his action and it is not acceptable.”

Oshiomhole Vs Okorocha

Following the outcome of the NWC’s decision, Governor Okorocha accused Oshiomhole of pulling the ruling party backwards.
In his response, the APC chairman described the Imo Governor as an embarrassment to the party, adding that he will not allow Okorocha have his way with his undemocratic tendencies.
Uche Nwosu also served as the Chief of staff to the Imo state Governor.
