8 year old girl weds 28 year old man in Kaduna

An 8-yr-old girl has been allegedly married off to a 28-yr-old man, over three times her age in the Northern part of Nigeria.The man who has been identified as Baba Ahmed reportedly paid dowry for his child bride on Sunday, January 17 in the Zaria area of Kaduna state. .
It was also gathered that though the wedding ceremony has taken place, the little girl won’t live with her alleged husband till she reaches the age of 17.
