Warning distressing content: Katherine Rice is charged with sexual battery involving a victim under 12 years of age and sexual performance by a child
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of subjecting a two-month-old baby to a sickening sex assault .
Katherine Grace Rice, 31, allegedly recorded an explicit video that showed her performing a lewd act with the infant.
Officers in Zephyrhills, Florida, claim it is a disturbing sexual battery case involving the young baby.
Local news station News Channel 8 said a probable cause affidavit claims
someone reported Rice to authorities after receiving the video on
Facebook.
Investigators with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office are thought to have identified Rice as the woman in the footage.
Deputies say they spoke with the suspect's husband, who reportedly told
them he was aware of the video, which his wife had allegedly sent him
via text in May 2015.
The affidavit said that Katherine Rice admitted to recording the video
on her tablet in April or May of 2015. The infant was born in April of
2015.
Rice was arrested and charged with sexual battery involving a victim under 12 years of age and sexual performance by a child.
She is being held in custody at the Pasco County Jail in lieu of a $60,000 bond payment.
