MOURINHO PLANS MAJOR JANUARY OVERHAUL OF TEAM

MOURINHO PLANS MAJOR JANUARY OVERHAUL OF TEAM JOSE MOURINHO has reportedly begged Roman Abramovich to let him carry out a major makeover of the Chelsea squad in January, according to reports.
Mourinho’s Chelsea career is hanging by a thread, but the Portuguese coach looks set to unleash hell on his under-performing squad in January if Abramovich gives him the chance to stay in charge of the Premier League champions.
The Blues saw their Premier League campaign take another turn for the worse on Saturday after a 1-0 defeat away to Stoke.
The Sun reports that Mourinho has pleaded with owner Abramovich to let him “remove the players he considers to be bad apples in the squad and get the club moving in the right direction again.”
It is thought Mourinho has chatted to the club’s billionaire owner Abramovich and believes he can transform the Blues’ fortunes by carrying out a mass clear-out of unwanted players.
The report suggests Mourinho wants to get rid of the flops responsible for the club’s dismal start to the campaign.
