The
record breaking act can add yet another feather to her cap as her
nostalgic single ‘Hello’ sold 480K digital copies in America in its
third week of release. The first single from her upcoming album,
entitled 25, is the first song to top 400K sales in each of its first
three weeks since Elton John’s Candle in the Wind, which was released in
1997 as a tribute to the late Princess Diana, making it the
fastest-selling single in 18 years.
Adele
likened her success to Kim Kardashian’s Paper magazine shoot which
attempted to break the internet, speaking to stalk.com, she said: ‘I did
a Kim Kardashian. Thank God it wasn’t with my a**. It would’ve actually
broke the Internet if it was my bum!’
