A son is accused of trying to electrocute his father after discovering he was the man's sole heir.
John Knudsen Jr, 44, allegedly tried to murder elderly father - John Knudsen Sr - after discovering his will.
Knudsen Jr, from Volusia County, Florida, allegedly held two wires to
his 81-year-old dad's chest in the early hours of the morning.
Ormond Beach police said the older man passed out briefly but sneaked out of the house when his son left the room.
Local news station WKMG said police told reporters the pair had rowed after the son was told to get a job.
The son faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault on an elderly disabled person.
