Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L’Or Blanc
The
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L’Or Blanc is the result of an
extraordinary collaboration between Bugatti and the Royal Porcelain
Factory in Berlin. It represents a new design principle for a Bugatti
automotive artwork. It was the first time that a car’s bodyshell and
interior have both been fitted with high-quality porcelain
elements. *This is faithful to the tradition of Bugatti founder Ettore
Bugatti, who also liked to experiment with new materials not normally
used in cars. The catalyst for the collaboration was Rembrandt Bugatti’s
famous elephant. Initially, the Royal Porcelain Factory planned to
simply produce a porcelain figure of the elephant, then the idea of also
creating a service came up and the final result was this extraordinary,
unique Grand Sport.
Delicate and beautiful *The exterior of the L’Or Blanc is a work of art in its own right and a masterpiece of craftsmanship. It took the Bugatti design team several weeks to get the natural reflections on the bodyshell to visually “flow” over the car in a series of sweeping curves and delicate lines. These were then painted by hand using a powerful shade of blue. Finally, five layers of clear lacquer were applied to the car. Inside, 12 elements made of finest porcelain add the perfect finishing touch to this Grand Sport’s artistic character. As well as the signed porcelain inlays on the transmission tunnel, there is a striking porcelain inlay on the rear panel. Just like the porcelain elements on the petrol and oil filler caps, it is decorated with a relief of Rembrandt Bugatti’s famous dancing elephant.#bugatti #sportscars #supercars
